the Indonesian International Search and Rescue Expo (IISAREX)

I would like to welcome you to the Indonesian International Search and Rescue Expo (IISAREX), an event organized jointly by Badan SAR Nasional (Basarnas) and PT Misty Total Media. It is our pleasure to host such a prestigious forum and we hope that this will prove our commitment to enhance search and rescue activities in Indonesia.

This forum is held as part of our capability development program, which presently we are prioritizing, in line with Basarnas' upgrade status as independent agency. The main target is to enlarge our views on search and rescue activities, in term of SAR technology and facilities, human resource development as well as international cooperation. We are proud to say that IISAREX will be the first international event on search and rescue in Indonesia.

We have planned to invoke outstanding companies which provide world-class SAR equipment and facilities. In addition, the forum may give us opportunity to make business contact for future development in search and rescue activities.

As part of the event, we would organized an International Seminar on SAR. The forum offers an exchange of knowledge and skills of search and rescue activities through presentations, papers, and panel sessions. We expext attendance of numerous expert speakers from International Organisations, such as International Maritime Organisation (IMO), International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), ASEAN as well as from other countries.

Finally, on behalf of Basarnas, I would avail myself opportunity to extend application for those who have given support to this event. I would be pleased and honored if you could take part in the IISAREX. Let us hope this event will be successful and productive.
